This is a port of Marat Fayzullin's MSX emulator. This is an emulator of the still fairly popular, among a strange set of enthusiats!! (I suppse the same could be said of Acorn enthusaists), MSX computer range. It emulates the MSX, MSX2 & the MSX2+. The Acorn version contains the ROMS needed to emulate these machines. This was Sony's last venture into the computer market before the Playstation... The machine had quite a decent collectoon of games, many of which will be familiar to a lot of people.
As with the ColEm port the aim was to make the interface as easy to use as possible. However being a computer it meant that it could accept various mediums. Thus double clicking on a MSX rom image will start the emulation, while disk images will be put into the relevant slots. Also some roms may need to be configured as a certain type, however this is easily done by selecting the right one from the list or just by a process of trial and error.
The emulator runs at over full speed on a StrongARM and thus is speed throttled. According to Dave Sharp a Uperiod (frame skip) of 4 or 5 makes it useable on an A5000.
